Suzie Knotek
Assistant Teacher T/TH PreK 1
I am a graduate of Miami University with a degree in Family Studies and Early Childhood Education. I also received an Early Childhood Education (PreK - 3) degree from Ashland University. This is my 8th year working at Hobbitts Preschool, but I have been part of Hobbitts as a parent since 2004. See if you can spot me in the 50th Anniversary picture in the hall! I worked in daycare, preschool and as a nanny before I had the privilege of being a stay at home mom.
My sweet husband Gerry and I have been married for 30 years and we have lived in Richfield for 18 years. We have 3 awesome boys (ages 24, 21 and 17) and a delightful 12 year old daughter.
Of course, I love to spend time with my family! We spend many hours watching, driving, and chasing kids at sports of every sort, but you might find me scrapbooking, walking the dog, hiking or volunteering at Assumption Academy.

Lead Teacher Parent/Toddler Classes
I attended Cleveland State University majoring in Elementary Education. This is my 15th year at Hobbitts Preschool! It is a wonderful community to be part of! I thoroughly enjoy teaching the Parent/Toddler classes. What adventures we have!
Prior to joining the Hobbitts family, I was a special education PSR teacher and an educational assistant for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District. My family and I have also enjoyed many years coaching Challenger Baseball, a division of Little League.
My husband Jim and I have been married for 33 years and live in Broadview Heights. We are blessed with three children and two sons-in-law ~ Michael, Katey (Matt), and Grace (Gabe). Katey is a Music Therapist working with patients in hospice. Grace is a Speech-Language Pathologist working with children. They are all extremely dedicated to their work and find it extremely rewarding!
It is a pleasure to be teaching children and engaging families. Outside of my work at Hobbitts, I enjoy gardening, traveling, decorating, hiking, reading and especially spending time with my family and friends!

Mary Farr
Assistant Teacher MW AM 3's
I received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. It’s hard to believe that I am starting my 15th year at Hobbitts. I taught the Parent/Toddler classes for 6 years and have been a substitute teacher, lunch bunch monitor, and babysitter for the Parent/Toddler classes. I am thrilled to be starting my 5th year as the assistant teacher for the M/W 3’s class. Each year brings new challenges and amazing experiences.
Our family moved to Hinckley 3 years ago from Brecksville. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have 3 children ages 30, 28, and 24. In my free time I enjoy reading, taking my dog for walks, traveling, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
