Suzie Knotek
Assistant Teacher T/Th PreK 1
I am a graduate of Miami University with a degree in Family Studies and Early Childhood Education. I also received an Early Childhood Education (PreK - 3) degree from Ashland University. This is my 5th year working at Hobbitts Preschool, but I have been part of Hobbitts as a parent since 2004. See if you can spot me in the 50th Anniversary picture in the hall! I worked in daycare, preschool and as a nanny before I had the privilege of being a stay at home mom.
My sweet husband Gerry and I have been married for 27 years and we have lived in Richfield for 15 years. We have 3 awesome boys (ages 21, 18 and 14) and a delightful 9 year old daughter.
Of course, I love to spend time with my family! We spend many hours watching, driving, and chasing kids at sports of every sort, but you might find me scrapbooking, walking the dog, hiking or volunteering at Assumption Academy.

This will be my sixth year as a PreK 1 teacher I am looking forward to another wonderful year!
My husband Adam and I have been married for almost twenty-one years and have four children - Grace (17), AJ (15), Gabby (11), Sammy (9). All of our children are former Hobbitteers! I have been a member of the Hobbitts family for thirteen years! My family keeps me very busy and I love every minute of it! Spending time with them is my favorite thing to do! When we're not running from activity to activity we love to travel or just enjoy quiet time at home.

Lead Teacher Parent/Toddler Classes / Passport 2 Discovery
I attended Cleveland State University majoring in Elementary Education. This is my twelfth year at Hobbitts Preschool! It is a wonderful community to be part of in which I thoroughly enjoy teaching the Parent/Toddler classes as well as the Passport 2 Discovery class. What adventures we have!
Prior to joining the Hobbitts family, I was a special education PSR teacher and an educational assistant for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District. This summer marks my 26th year as a Challenger baseball coach, a league for individuals ages 5-22 who have physical and developmental challenges.
My husband Jim and I have been married for 30 years and live in Broadview Heights. We are blessed with three children and a son-in-law ~ Michael, Katey (Matt), and Grace. Katey is a Music Therapist working with patients in hospice. Grace is a Speech-Language Pathologist working with children. They are all extremely dedicated to their work and find it very rewarding!
It is a pleasure to be teaching children and engaging families. Outside of my work at Hobbitts, I enjoy gardening, traveling, decorating, hiking, reading and especially spending time with my family and friends!
Mindy Opsincs
Lead Teacher PreK 2
Hi my name is Mindy Opsincs. I am excited to be the lead teacher for the PreK 2 class this year! I have assisted in the PreK 2 class the past 2 years and love being with this age group. I have a bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Akron and have over 10 years of experience teaching and assisting preschool classrooms.
My husband Brad is a Hobbitt’s Alumni and Revere graduate. We moved to Richfield 4 years ago to be closer to friends and family. We have been married for 14 years and have 3 spunky children. Our daughter Brianna is 10, who loves all things to do with teaching and performances of any kind. Our son Bennett is 5, he calls himself a Lego Master and loves being outdoors. He will be attending Hobbitt’s this year. Michael is 10 and came to live with us in December of 2018. He loves all kinds of music and being outdoors. We hope to adopt him soon. We enjoy hiking as a family and you can always find me reading when I have free time.
I am excited to continue my adventure at Hobbitt’s Preschool and look forward to meeting and getting to know you all!

Assistant Teacher MW AM 3's
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. It’s hard to believe that I am starting my 12th year at Hobbitts. I taught the Parent/Toddler classes for 6 years and have been a substitute teacher, lunch bunch monitor, and babysitter for the Parent/Toddler classes. I am thrilled to be starting my second year as the assistant teacher for the M/W 3’s class. Each year brings new challenges and amazing experiences.
Our family moved to Hinckley last year from Brecksville. My husband and I have been married for 31 years and have 3 children ages 27, 25, and 21. In my free time I enjoy reading, taking my dog for long walks, traveling, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
